The stunning two-tone paint draws attention, while brand-new chrome adds a touch of elegance. Original-style “Chevrolet Thriftmaster” emblems sit just in front of the body vent and gills on the hood. A unique 1947 feature is the gas filler placement between the cab and rear wheel well, a design changed in later years. The bed features Oak inlays separated by color-matched bed strips, complementing the steel wheels with chrome center caps.
Under the hood, a period-correct 216.5-cubic-inch Thriftmaster OHV six-cylinder engine pairs with a 3-speed floor-shifted transmission. Recently rebuilt before the current owner, the engine starts up smoothly—just pull the choke, tap the gas, and press the vintage floor starter for a nostalgic experience.
Inside, the simple yet functional interior offers a comfortable bench seat at the perfect height for easy driving. The floors and roof have been Rhino-lined for protection against corrosion and added insulation. Original-style gauges maintain a clean, vintage look, though the speedometer is currently inoperative—a new speedometer cable is included.
