Pop the hood, and you’ll be amazed by the highly detailed engine bay. A rebuilt Ford 302 V8 sits proudly, featuring blue Ford Racing valve covers. A serpentine belt system powers the accessories, including a chrome power steering pump, chrome A/C compressor, and a chrome alternator. An Edelbrock intake, topped with a Holley Sniper fuel injection system, ensures reliable starts, improved fuel efficiency, and extra power. Full-length ceramic-coated headers flow into dual exhaust pipes that exit ahead of the rear tires through custom rectangular tips, producing an aggressive yet refined sound. An MSD ignition system, along with Ford Performance plug wires, delivers strong spark, while an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps the engine cool—even during hot summer drives with the A/C running. The modern R-134A air conditioning system ensures a comfortable ride. For a sleeker look, the fuel tank has been relocated under the bed, and the original fuel filler hole has been smoothed over.
Step inside, and the interior is just as impressive. A black vinyl and cloth bench seat provides a comfortable ride with a great view of the road. The custom-painted, smoothed dash houses new gauges, while a billet tilt steering column with a custom wheel enhances both aesthetics and functionality. A modern AM/FM/CD player, a center console with storage and cupholders, and embroidered Ford F100 floor mats complete the look. Custom zippered pockets on the door panels offer convenient storage, and the floor shifter features a unique push-button knob for effortless gear selection.
The 302 CID V8 is paired with a C4 automatic transmission featuring a B&M pan, sending power to a Ford 9” rear end. Power steering and power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors dramatically improve handling compared to the original 1966 setup. The bed is covered with a tonneau cover, revealing a beautifully crafted wood bed with polished stainless strips and a custom storage trunk on sliding drawer rails for easy access. The custom fuel filler is tucked away under the bed for a clean appearance. If preferred, the wood and stainless setup can be removed to expose the original metal bed, which has been coated with durable bedliner. The sides of the bed and the inside of the tailgate are also finished with bedliner to withstand daily use.
With just over 9,000 miles since its restoration, this truck is in pristine condition and ready for its next proud owner. Stored in a climate-controlled garage, it comes with a thick binder of build receipts documenting its transformation.
